20-year-old receives three years jail time for Sandton housebreaking

An Alex youth, Mangaliso Mongoro (20) was sentenced to three years in prison by Alexandra Magistrates’ Court for housebreaking and theft at a Sandton residence in March.
Private security guards patrolling the area spotted Mongoro in a yard and alerted the homeowner of a suspicious person at his place.
When the homeowner declined knowledge of the suspect, the guards entered the residence and arrested him. Mongoro broke into the house through a window and stashed household items outside.
