37 suspects nabbed by Alex police officers during the course of one week
ALEXANDRA – Alex police kept busy with 37 arrests and 45 reported cases in a week.
Alex police officers arrested 37 suspects for various crimes and attended to 45 reported criminal offences for the week ending 23 April.
Spokesperson for Alex Police Station, Captain Allie Kodisang said the arrests were as follows:
- 3 for rape
- 2 for murder
- 8 for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm
- 2 for common assault
- 3 for malicious damage to property
- 3 for residential burglary
- 2 for general theft
- 2 for possession of suspected stolen property
- 12 for drug-related crimes.
Reported crimes were as follows:
