Relief as petrol price drops 25c per litre
JOBURG - Relief for motorists as fuel prices are going down tomorrow.
The Department of Energy has confirmed that both petrol grades, 95 and 93 will drop by 25c per litre in retail price on 7 June (Wednesday night).
The wholesale price of both grades of diesel will drop by 23c per litre, while the wholesale price of illuminating paraffin will drop by 22c per litre and the single maximum national retail price (SMNRP) by 30c per litre.
The maximum retail price of LP Gas will drop by 77c per kg.
The decrease in fuel prices is due to the average international product prices of petrol, diesel, and illuminating paraffin dropping during the period under review – 26 April to 1 June.
