ALEXANDRA – Two suspects wanted for robbing journalist of her camera.

A freelance journalist for an unspecified news agency was allegedly robbed of her camera worth R86 000 by suspects who had asked her to take their pictures.

Police spokesperson Captain Allie Kodisang said the incident occurred at 2pm on 23 July at the intersection of Dove Street and Alfred Nzo Avenue, East Bank.

The victim was attracted by a group of children playing and stopped her vehicle to take pictures. While preparing the camera, two suspects approached and asked her to also take their pictures.

She claimed to have panicked and asked them to stand a few metres away as she prepared the camera to give her a chance to escape. She made a dash to her car but one of the suspects chased her and took the camera before the suspects ran away.
