Allure at the Prince of Wales Polo Cup
JOBURG – Allure will be happening on 10 September at the Rosefield Polo Club.
Allure is back and this year it’s bigger, better and fit for royalty and will be happening on 10 September at the Rosefield Polo Club, with doors set to open at 12pm.
The Allure lifestyle marquee will be hosted at the 110th Prince of Wales Cup, where the ultimate match of the series will see the South African and Kenyan Polo teams taking each other head-on. The theme for 2017 is Be Bold. Be You. Be Polo. (#BeBold), which speaks to Africans exploring new lifestyle spaces such as polo, but remain true to what defines us as kings and queens of Africa.
“While having a good time is an element, Allure is using it as a platform to enlighten a new audience that has not previously had exposure to the sport and everything it encompasses including the rules, etiquette, fashion and traditions of the game. It is also a great network to expose South Africans to various economic avenues available within the Polo sport,” said Bonnke Shipalana, Allure founder.
This match – South Africa versus Kenya in particular – is quite symbolic because while the sport isn’t as popular in South Africa yet, it has been well-enjoyed by the market for quite some time in the rest of Africa, particularly East and West Africa.
The Allure Lounge promises to bring class and a dynamic twist to the day whilst epitomising the marriage of supreme leisure and lifestyle. The Polo Series is as much about the horses as it is about the memories and experiences the event represents.
The #BeBold concept of the lounge is designed to inspire and invite spectators to experience the Polo Series through appropriate fashion, premium beverages and entertainment in a relaxed and authentic atmosphere that characterises the fusion of all South Africans into a space that has always been perceived as traditionally reserved for the elite.
The day will wrap up with the Polo Series’ after-party hosted by SA’s finest deejays. It promises beautiful views, wonderful surroundings and endless opportunities under the Gauteng sun. Polo has never been this fresh or bold or alluring!
