Murder fugitive captured, remanded in custody by Alex Magistrates’ Court
ALEXANDRA – Murder suspect's run ends in Greytown, KwaZulu-Natal.
A suspected murderer who was on the run for six months was finally arrested on 29 September and remanded in custody on 1 October by Alexandra Magistrates’ Court.
He will reappear in court for a formal bail application on 9 October.
Thanking the media and the public for their assistance, spokesperson for Alex Police Station, Captain Allie Kodisang said the suspect, Musa Mkhulu Zulu, who is in his 30s and is a well-known sangoma, was arrested in his home in Greytown, Kwazulu-Natal.
This after a manhunt by police, which was reported in Alex News in April. He disappeared after allegedly shooting a woman known to him in her Tsutsumani residence. After multiple shots were allegedly fired, the woman died instantly. It is alleged that Zulu went to the victim’s home at 8pm on 11 April after his own wife died in hospital and blamed the woman of his wife’s death before shooting her. He disappeared thereafter.
