Detained after brother’s death
ALEXANDRA –Man fatally stabs brother with screw driver.
A man who was arrested at the Alex Police Station when he and two siblings went there to report their brother’s death, is now in custody pending a murder investigation.
According to police spokesperson Captain Allie Kodisang, the man who lives in Madala Hostel allegedly stabbed his brother in the head with a screwdriver during a heated argument on 7 October.
The victim was taken to the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital for emergency treatment but died as a result of the injuries he sustained.
After the man and two of his siblings told the police what happened, he was arrested.
