On this day, 11 years ago, South Africa woke up to the news of the passing of one of the countries biggest musicians.
Lebo Mathosa of Boom Shaka fame, died in a car accident in Germiston on the morning of Monday 23 October 2006.
She was known to become a beast on stage and every time she performed, the crowd would go crazy.

Lebo burst into local scenes in 1994 as one of the members of Boom Shaka.
She had three albums under her belt and won many awards including South African Music Awards, Metro FM awards and many more.
Many people often said she would be the Next Brenda Fassie.
