Cul-de-sac of hell

ALEXANDRA – A hijacking took place at the 15th Avenue cul-de-sac.

A Boksburg motorist’s vehicle was hijacked at 10.30pm on 23 October at a cul-de-sac on 15th Avenue.

Police spokesperson Captain Allie Kodisang said the incident occurred when police arrested a hijack suspect while his accomplice escaped, after a high-speed chase two days later. The incident was reported in the Alex News’ article, Cul-de-sac End of the Line for Criminals (week ending 10 November).

Kodisang said two suspects in a Chevrolet Cruz allegedly followed the victim in a Renault Clio onto a road he thought would lead him into Vincent Tshabalala Road.

When he tried to turn around, the suspects allegedly blocked his vehicle from behind, went to both sides of his vehicle and ordered him out at gunpoint. They asked him to get into the back seat of his vehicle but he refused as he was scared. They drove away in their vehicles, which hadn’t been found at the time of reporting.
