Alleged theft from police officer’s residence
ALEX – Find out what happened to a police officer's home when he spent the night at the police barracks.
Alex police officers are investigating an alleged house robbery and theft of a police issue vest.
The spokesperson for Alex Police Station, Captain Allie Kodisang said, “The investigation is of an incident which occurred overnight between 29 and 30 December at a police official’s Alex home.”
The victim left the residence secured to spend the night at the police barracks in Orange Grove.
“On his return the following morning, the victim found burglar bars and wooden doors broken.”
According to Kodisang, the bullet proof vest and a television set worth R4 000 was stolen.
