Olive Tree Theatre in Wynberg relocates to Marlboro
ALEXANDRA – Olive Tree Theatre finds new home.
Alex residents expecting the resumption of yearly entertainment at Olive Tree Theatre are urged to be patient as the theatre relocates to new premises.
The threatre is currently relocating from Yarona Building in Wynberg to 78 2nd Street in Marlboro.
Theatre director, Ntsieng Mokgoro said, “We will be fully operational from 21 March at the new spacious site with secure parking unlike at the current site.
“The move from the current building also being sold was prompted by overcrowding especially during show time in the evening. The new site also has a better chilling ambiance through a Chisa Nyama [braai] facility and drinking outlet.”
The theatre will be launched for four days with performances, productions and exposure of new partners.
Meanwhile, management operations will continue at the current site until the end of February.
