Alex police on the hunt for East Bank Clinic robbers
ALEXANDRA – Robbers allegedly raid clinic and leave staff members locked in office.
Alex police are on the hunt for three suspects who allegedly robbed East Bank Clinic on 26 January.
The suspects were captured on CCTV camera footage committing the crime.
According to Captain Allie Kodisang, the spokesperson for Alex police, one of the suspects entered the premises carrying a bag and asked for the clinic supervisor who he wanted to show his medical results.
When he was ushered into her office, the suspect allegedly produced a gun which he pointed at her. His two accomplices also walked in and the trio ordered all the staff members into the office and allegedly locked them inside with the supervisor.
After they heard the suspects leaving, the staff members managed to open the door and found three cellphones and other personal and clinic items worth R4 000 missing.
