Shop in Tsutsumani robbed, owner injured
ALEXANDRA – Tsutsumani shop targeted by criminals.
An unspecified number of armed suspects allegedly robbed a shop located on Match Street, Tsutsumani at about 3am on 9 February and stole R5 000 in cash and R1 500 worth of goods.

The spokesperson for Alex Police Station, Captain Allie Kodisang said, “The victim and a friend were woken up by the suspects who allegedly broke into the shop through the roof and then ordered them to cover their heads with a blanket. They then demanded money, airtime vouchers and cigarettes at gunpoint.”
One of the suspects allegedly hit the shop owner across the head with the gun before fleeing the scene with the cash, R1 000 worth of airtime and R500 worth of cigarettes.

The shop owner was taken to Alex Clinic for treatment of his head injury.
Police officers are investigating the incident.
