He is charged with raping the younger 12-year-old sister once on 16 November and again on 3 and 23 December. After the first alleged incident, it is said he told the victim not to tell their mother and seemingly, she obliged. She reported that the second time, he threatened to kill her if she told anyone, and the third time, he threatened to kill her if she screamed.

He was arrested on 24 December, a day after the last incident when family members took her to a hospital because she was in pain. Nurses discovered a used condom in her vagina.

The arrest prompted the first victim’s 13-year-old sister to reveal her own abuse by the accused which allegedly occurred in 2016 and 2017 when she was 11 years old. This allegedly occurred when their mother was out. In the first instance, he allegedly asked her to pay him back for the time he had spent caring for her and her sister.
