Infinity Kracht youth organisation on a mission to foster a healthy lifestyle culture

ALEXANDRA – Everyone can do something to keep his or her body fit and healthy according to Infinity Kracht patron, Pamela Simelane.

Young people of Alexandra are encouraged to be healthy this Youth Day by an Alex-based organisation on a mission.

Infinity Kracht was established this year by a group of youths from 7th and 8th avenues. They are hosting their first fun/walk event, which includes jogging and running, on 16 June to encourage local youngsters to live a healthy lifestyle.

According to Pamela Simelane, one of the patrons and organisers of the event, everyone is welcome to participate in the walk which will begin at 6am. It will start at the Alexandra Museum, continue to Bramley and then end back at the museum. “We will host this event on Youth Day to raise funds for school uniform donations that we will be donating to children who are from less fortunate families in schools around Alexandra. We will also be raising awareness to our peers to live a healthy life and to look after their bodies through exercising or walking at least two kilometres a day.

“After the walk, we will have different kinds of entertainment where young and upcoming local music artists, dancers and poets will be showcasing their talent.”

Community members who would like to participate in the walk or donate school uniforms can call or send a WhatsApp to Teboho Kok on 072 452 2475.
