According to the reportage, the South Gauteng High Court had declared the board of the Alexandra FM delinquent. This was not the case – only three members of the board had been declared delinquent and were placed on probation, being Pamela Mallela, Gideon Makatu and Bongane Mandita.
The Alex News apologises for this error and the inconvenience it may have caused, as well as for its failure to gain comment from those implicated in its reportage. Alex News has since been informed that the circumstances under which the judgment was granted has been placed in dispute by Malella, Makatu and Mandita. They deny having been served with a summons and, accordingly, acknowledge that they had to be in court. They intend to challenge the judgment accordingly.
