Matibako Motimela of Alex FM nominated in SA’s top awards
ALEXANDRA – Radio DJ Matibako Motimela needs the public to vote for him to bring this award home.
Another young Alex FM radio DJ has been nominated for top radio awards to be held in Durban this year.
A 27-year-old radio DJ Matibako Motimela has been nominated in the Live Your Dream Awards South Africa (LYDSA)’s best radio presenter category for hisshow Sunday Connection which he presents between 3pm to 6pm on Sundays.
The awards started in 2014 to recognise different talent in the youth of South Africa. It focuses on upcoming youngsters so they can be known and recognised by South Africa for what they are capable of doing through their talent.
Motimela said he was humbled by the nomination and recognition of his work. “I started working for Alex FM three years ago and my show has received positive reception from the listeners.
“My nomination for this awards is not my individual nomination but I regard it as an Alex FM nomination which represents Alex community. I urge all station listeners and community members at large to vote for me to bring this award home,” he said.
This year’s winners will be announced at the awards ceremony which will be held in Playhouse Durban, KwaZulu-Natal on 24 December this year.
