ALEXANDRA – Man's pursuit ends in a charge
An Alex man accused of possession of a dangerous weapon is appearing in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court.
He was arrested by the police called to the scene of a confrontation between two groups in the evening on 8 February on 18th Avenue.
When the accused’s gang gave up the chase, he continued following the other group members wielding a knobkierie. Police apprehended him and retrieved a knobkierie resulting in him being charged with the possession of a dangerous weapon.
