The voting process has started smoothly in a number of voting stations in Tsutsumani and East Bank in Alexandra.

There were some delays reported at KwaBhekilanga Secondary School voting stations due to scanner problems. This resulted in some squabbles between officials and voters because of the delay. Thousands of eligible voters are waiting anxiously in slow-moving long queues.
