Local non-profit organisation reaches out to the less fortunate community

ALEXANDRA – The founder of the Alexandra Hospice thanked Unite and Share for Peace and Prosperity for their endless efforts to help the local facility.


A local non-profit organisation Unite and Share for Peace and Prosperity that advocates social cohesion and helps the most afflicted communities in South Africa recently visited Alexandra Hospice to donate blankets and food for this winter.

The organisation’s program coordinator Nazly Mayet said they have been working with the hospice for the past four years to help the them meets their objectives. “The donated items were donated by different communities that we work with. We then chose Alex Hospice because we have an existing work relationship with the facility and they are doing a very good job helping the sick and elderly people,” Mayet said.

Grace Marutlulle the founder of the Alexandra Hospice thanked the organisation for their endless efforts to help the facility continue helping the less fortunate. “The donations that we receive as the facility goes a long way in aspiring and uplifting the spirit of our volunteers. These volunteers take care of many people who need daily intensive care and attention. We depend on donations like this one to continue offering our help to the patients.”
