ALEXANDRA – Explosives, dagga accused denied bail.

An Alex man was denied bail in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court pending further investigation for the possession of explosives and dagga.

Alexandra Police Station spokesperson Captain Stephen Malatji said police officers were alerted to the 32-year-old man’s alleged activities and pounced on his 11th Avenue home at about midnight on 9 July.

“The officers arrested him after finding explosive devices, suspected stolen TV sets and a bottle containing dagga in his room.”

The accused admitted to selling drugs and claimed the explosives belonged to an uncle who wasn’t present.
