Battery thieves nabbed
ALEXANDRA – Trio sentenced for cell tower battery theft.
Three men were sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment each in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court for the theft of cell tower batteries.
Mampane Radikgaganeng, Eric Nkomo and Bekithemba Nkomo will instead serve for five years with two years suspended for five years. They were found in the possession of eight batteries at a Vodacom Substation in the Langlaagte area on 20 November last year.
