The Springboks bludgeoned past hosts Japan 26-3 to book a World Cup semi-final with Wales. Japan head coach, Jamie Joseph said he was proud of his players.

Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus admits that the entire team was nervous going into the quarterfinal clash with the Rugby World Cup hosts Japan.
It was an edgy, nervous start for the Springboks in the first half, ultimately their power game and consistency came to the fore and led to their victory, beating Japan 26-3.

Japan coach Jamie Joseph admitted his dissatisfaction for his players as their World Cup journey came to an end against the Springboks on Sunday, 20 October 2019.

Japan tuned up their pace with quickfire play at the set pieces and great well-weighted cross kicks. Ultimately, their tricks didn’t work as the Springboks defence crushed their momentum.
