ALEXANDRA – Witnesses tell of lead up to fatal shooting
A suspect is wanted by the Alexandra Police Station for the murder of a 25-year-old man.
Station spokesperson Captain Stephen Malatji said the incident occurred at about 10pm on 27 October at the intersection of 16th Avenue and Florence Mophosho Street. Police called to the scene found the victim’s body with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Witnesses confirmed seeing the two involved in an altercation before the shooting. Two spent cartridges and a projectile were recovered from the scene. Malatji asked members of the public with any information to contact the station on 011 321 7621 or 011 321 7600.
