Wanted known robber, accomplice on the run
ALEXANDRA – Robber on the run after toy gun falls.
A known suspect and an accomplice are wanted for armed robbery which occurred early morning on 27 October at the intersection of 15th and Richard Baloyi avenues.
Alex Police Station spokesperson, Captain Stephen Malatji said the pair met the victim who was walking in the opposite direction and the known suspect pointed a gun at him.
The victim reacted and grabbed the hand with the gun. As they tussled, the accomplice searched the victim’s pockets and took the his R1 500 worth cell phone. In the process the gun fell and broke and it turned out to be a toy. No injuries were reported on the victim.
