[VIDEO] Woman shot and killed in armed hijacking in Bramley

BRAMLEY– Gauteng Police have confirmed that the family of the deceased have come forward and identified her body. 


A woman was shot and killed after a hijacking on the corner of Dublin and Cunning roads in Bramley in the early hours of 15 November. 

Gauteng police spokesperson Kay Makhbele said, “Four to five suspects hijacked a woman believed to be 45 years old. So far the suspects have not been arrested. A case of murder and hijacking has been opened.”

There had been social media reports that the hijacking occurred in Alex but Makhbele said they could not confirm where the incident started but said the hijacking took place in Bramley.

Metro police head David Tembe said the vehicle, a Kia Rio, had been recovered by the Metro police in Alexandra.

Makhubhele added that the family of the deceased had come forward and identified her body.
