A third Jukskei foetus found in one month
ALEXANDRA - A third foetus was found at the Jukskei River in a period of one month.
Another foetus was found in the Jukskei River on 19 October.
This is the third foetus found in the river in a month. Police received an anonymous call on the morning of 19 October reporting the gruesome find. Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said, “We immediately went to the scene and also contacted the morgue.”
A case of concealment of birth has been opened. Workers of the Shomang Sebenzani Development Initiative, who usually clean the river, had previously appealed to young mothers to seek help when they were pregnant.
