Big snake leaves community frightened
ALEXANDRA - The extention 10 community has been left frightened after a big snake was spotted in the area
The Extension 10 community has been left frightened after a big snake was spotted in the area.
The snake, which was seen by children around Skeen Primary School on Thursday, has left the community fearing for their children’s lives.
Ntombifuthi Ngulube, the mother of one of the children who saw the snake said, “The children were playing outside when I heard a scream. They ran into the yard and told me that they had seen a snake. They sad is it was big and they seemed scared.”
Although this was the first time a snake was spotted around the area, Ngulube fears that it might be seen again and harm some of the children.
“The grass is knee-high and has not been cut in a long time. These children have nowhere else to play. What if it comes back and kills one of our children?”
She said help is urgently needed. “All we ask for is that they cut the grass or do something about this before something bad happens to our children. This is worrying because the children still play there, they have nowhere else to go.”
