Five men wanted for robbery
ALEXANDRA - Police are looking for five men in connection with armed robbery.
Police have appealed to the public to help them find five men for an armed robbery.
The robbery took place at a shop on Friday morning in Far East Bank and the men took cellphones, money and cigarettes.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said, “The complainant was preparing to offload his stock for his shop when five men approached him. One pointed a firearm and pushed him inside the shop.”
He said the suspects took R1 800 from the till, two cellphones, cigarettes valued at R1 800 and airtime valued at R4 600.
“No shots were fired and no one was injured,” Maphakela said. A case of business robbery is being investigated.
