YEOVILLE - Yeoville police are glowing with confidence after they arrested 49 people over the weekend for various crimes during a crime stop operation.
According to police the charges ranges from assault, robbery, possession of stolen property, shoplifting, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of dagga and theft. Yeoville police spokesperson Constable Thabo Malatji said, “Most of the suspects were expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court soon.”
Malatji believed this showed that the police were on the right track in the fight against crime in the area.
