The student said she was walking to college along 10th Avenue at about 5am when she was approached by two men at the corner of 10th Avenue and Alfred Nzo Street. One of the men was armed and pointed a firearm at her while his colleague demanded the handbag.
As she was about to hand over the handbag, the unarmed man grabbed and snatched it from her hand and they ran off. No shots were fired and the police said they were still investigating a case of armed robbery.
