Man shot dead for refusing to have sex with girlfriend
ALEXANDRA - A 37-year-old man was shot dead for refusing to have sex with his girlfriend while two armed men watched.
A 37-year-old man was shot dead for refusing to have sex with his girlfriend as ordered by two assailants.
The girlfriend of the man said she and her boyfriend were walking close to a cemetery in Alexandra at about 10pm when they were approached by two men, one of whom was armed and pointed a gun at them.
They then ordered her boyfriend to have sex with her and when he could not perform the act, they threw him to the ground and pinned him down. The unarmed suspect then proceeded to rape her.
The woman’s boyfriend covered his face with a jacket so he did not have to witness the horrific rape. A struggle then ensued with the gun-toting man who wanted the boyfriend to watch his girlfriend being raped.
Several shots went off and the suspects fled the scene. The woman ran to report the ordeal to family members of her boyfriend.
Police officers who arrived at the scene said the woman’s boyfriend had a bullet wound to his head, right shoulder and his left leg. One spent cartridge was found on the scene.
Alex police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said a case of murder and rape had been opened and the police were still investigating.
