Godisanang have only themselves to blame for loss

FC Godisanang have only themselves to blame for allowing Soweto rivals Dhlamini X1 Experience to come back into the two sides’ clash and eventually win it.
Dhlamini X1 won the game 2-1 after scoring two goals in quick succession in the dying minutes of the game to collect all three points at stake in the SAB League match played at the Alexandra Stadium.
So thrilled were they with the away victory that the Soweto outfit wasted no time in sneaking out of the stadium before Alex News could have the opportunity to talk to their coach.
“They behaved like a smash and grab outfit,” remarked a spectator in reference to their two quick goals.
Godisanang were the first to register on the scoreboard of the ill-tempered match in less than five minutes of the start of the game through their captain Donald Somo. There were two red cards and four yellows given in the match which nearly erupted into a brawl. One of the reds was issued to Godisanang’s Tshepang Dineka for retaliation after a bad tackle from a Dhlamini X1 player.
Godisanang coach Abby Mofomme blamed all his team’s woes on fatigue and said his charges needed to recharge as they had played four games in a space of a week. “Some of these games you don’t lose because you play badly but because the boys have had too much football,” he said.
