ALEXANDRA - Police in Alexandra are looking for a man who stabbed his drinking mate to death.
Police in Alexandra are looking for a man who stabbed his drinking mate to death.
Alex police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said the police had been called to the scene of the murder and were told that the victim had been drinking beer with his mates.
The victim is said to have called one of his mates and asked to speak to him in private and then proceeded outside the house. A few minutes later, the other drinking mates said they heard a commotion outside.
Upon investigation, they found the victim lying on the ground and bleeding from the chest. The man who the victim had summoned to speak to in private, was holding a knife in his hand.
The alleged stabber is said to have called for an ambulance for the victim before disappearing from the scene. Maphakela said a murder case had been opened.
