Woman screams for her life when she wakes up to strangers
ALEXANDRA - A woman who had been woken up by some noise in her house 'screamed for her life' when she discovered two suspects ransacking her wardrobe.
A woman awoke to two suspects ransacking her wardrobe.
The victim told police she was asleep in her house in Tsutsumani when she heard a noise inside her house at about 3.30pm. “I screamed for my life and ran out of the house to my landlord,” she said. Her landlord chased the fleeing suspects, but could not catch them.
When the victim returned to her house, she found R5 300 was missing from her handbag, and two cellphones worth about R4 000 had been stolen.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said the suspects gained entry into the house through a small bathroom window which had been accidentally left open.
No arrests have been made and Maphakela said they were investigating a case of housebreaking and theft.
