ALEXANDRA - A Lenasia woman visiting Alexandra had a cellphone grabbed from the palm of her hand as she was about to make a call to her driver to pick her up.
A Lenasia woman visiting Alexandra had her cellphone grabbed from her hand by a man as she was about to make a call to her driver to pick her up.
According to Alex police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela the woman had visited the Mandela Museum in 7th Avenue.
As she attempted to make the call, one of two men walking by grabbed hold of her cellphone. Before disappearing, one of the men is said to have made a sign to her to keep quiet indicating that he had a gun on him.
The cellphone is said to be worth R8 000.
