Reality show winner to receive mobile kitchen
A WEEKLY reality show featuring culinary heroines who empower communities will feature on TV from may 11.
A new weekly reality show for culinary heroines who are also community champions will feature on TV from 11 May.
The show, SA Kitchen Queens which is a partnership of Knorrox and e-TV will be a 11 part series and will showcase six ordinary women chosen by communities for their catering and cooking skills, and selfless service and support to communities. The winner will receive a fully equipped mobile catering kitchen.
According to Knorrox brand manager, Queen Mgobhozi, the contestants will be expected to resolve various tasks creatively and in the process acquire business negotiation and budgeting skills, and also improve their culinary and cooking skills.
Participants of the first series of the show have already been chosen from Gauteng, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Mpumalanga, North West, Limpopo and Eastern Cape.
Knorrox is expecting to have empowered 1 500 caterers through the series by the end of the year, and 20 000 caterers by 2020.
