ALEXANDRA - Police in Alexandra are still trying to track down the woman who dumped her newly born baby in a alleyway at the Pan Africa Mall on 9 April.
Police in Alexandra are still trying to track down the woman who dumped her newly-born baby in a alley way at the Pan Africa Mall on 9 April.
The baby girl was discovered by passers-by who took her to a local radio station, which in turn called the police and the baby ended up in a place of safety. The baby was discovered at about 6pm and is believed to have been born the same day she was discovered.
The police made an appeal to anyone who might have information that could help them track down the mother of the child to come forward. “We have not received any leads so far but we still appeal to the community to come forward with information to assist us track down the mother,” Maphakela said.
