300 blankets to keep Alex warm
SANDTON - The Alexandra community was treated to an exciting gift when non-profit organisation 67 Blankets donated more than 300 blankets to some fortunate residents.
After a heartwarming display of all the blankets at Nelson Mandela Square, the organisation, which focuses on keeping the less fortunate warm during winter, hosted a very special handover of 310 blankets ahead of Nelson Mandela Day on 18 July.
Alexandra residents young and old rejoiced and sang as they received their colourful and beautiful knitted blankets.
