Argument over clothes leads to woman’s beating
ALEXANDRA - A resident of Madala Hostel has been arrested by police after he allegedly broke down the door to gain entry into his former girlfriend's room.

Alex police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said the man will appear in the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of common assault and malicious damage to property. He is said to have knocked at his former girlfriend’s door and demanded to collect his clothes.
The ex-girlfriend refused to open the door and instead demanded that he bring back her own clothes before collecting his. The man is said to have forced his entry into the room by breaking down the door.
He then allegedly beat up his ex and threw her to the floor and shouted that she will never get her clothes back. As a result of the commotion, the wall unit and TV set were broken and the woman managed to run away.
