Man assaults security guard
ALEXANDRA - A man beat up a security guard at Pan Africa Mall who had persuaded him to stop harassing women customers of the Pick N Pay supermarket.
A man assaulted a security guard at Pan Africa Mall after the guard had asked him to stop harassing women customers of the Pick n Pay supermarket.
According to Alex police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, the security guard noticed three men harassing some shoppers at the supermarket.
He requested the men to stop and an argument ensued. The security guard claimed the men started swearing at him.
The guard claimed one of the men assaulted him, but he managed to overpower him and arrested him. The suspect was taken to Alex Police station where a case of common assault was opened. The suspect is due to appear in the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court.
