Angry boyfriend bites woman’s thumb

An angry man bit the thumb of his girlfriend for admonishing him for coming home late.

After she chastised him, the boyfriend then punched the woman in the face and also bit her thumb. The couple live together in Namibia Drive in Extension 9.

The complainant managed to free herself from the suspect, and ran out to open a case with the police. Alex police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said the man has been arrested and will appear soon in the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court on a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
