ALEXANDRA - A man is in a critical condition at Edenvale General Hospital after being knocked down by a car on Vincent Tshabalala Road, formerly London Road.

The accident happened at about 7am during the rush hour traffic. Johannesburg Emergency Management Services spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi, said the man, in his 30s, sustained head and spinal injuries.
Mulaudzi said they did not have complete information as to how the accident happened, but it was understood the man was knocked down as he attempted to cross the busy road during rush hour traffic.
