Special Christmas for children
ALEXANDRA - Alex children thronged a feeding scheme for a Christmas party where they received presents, food and other goodies from an anonymous donor.
A group of 100 children received presents and food from an anonymous donor at a Christmas party at Goodhope Ikhaya Lethu Centre, Eastbank
The centre was initiated by locals to provide patients from a nearby clinic with meals and to feed children after school.
Patrick Baloyi of the centre said, “The occasion is a special event for these children to show that someone cares for them. They received food, party packs, presents and food hampers which include beans and tinned fish, rice, sugar, cooking oil and tea.”
Baloyi added that the centre was exploring opportunities for longer-term support and partnerships.
