Rosebank’s sales person wins top Caxton award
JOBURG - Thuli Nkambule based at the Caxton Johannesburg North office has been named top Caxton sales cadet for 2014.
Nkambule studied marketing at the Midrand Graduate Institute. At the end of 2013 she began applying for employment opportunities and was offered a sales cadet position at Caxton.
“The Caxton sales cadet programme is an 11 month in-house intensive on-the-job course which gives successful candidates the necessary skills relating to media sales,” said branch manager Norman Dawe.
On 29 January following Nkambule’s presentation of a 360 degree advertising campaign, which involves pitching advertising ideas across various print and digital mediums, she was named and awarded top sales cadet.
“[Nkambule] has proved that hard slog, tenacity and late nights are key in this day and age in order to make something of yourself,” said Dawe. “We are all too aware that in order to achieve great heights you need to stand out from the crowd…[she] has done this consistently over the course period and wow, what a lady. She started and ended with guns blazing which culminated with her winning the prize as the top Caxton sales cadet for 2014.”
Nkambule said it had been a great learning experience. “I wouldn’t have learnt so much [if it wasn’t for the cadet programme],” she said. “I am still in shock. It hasn’t sunk in yet.”
The Fourways Review and affiliated publications at the Caxton Johannesburg North Office are very proud to have Nkambule on the sales team.
