Man nabbed for stolen car
ALEXANDRA - A man in his early twenties appeared at the Alex Magistrate’s court for possession of a motor vehicle stolen in house robbery.
A man in his early 20s appeared at the Alex Magistrates’ Court for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
He was remanded in custody for further investigations.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Manare Ramotshela said the man was arrested by police after being spotted driving the car, a blue Hyundai Atos in Eastbank.
The car was checked and found to have been reported stolen at an Alberton home during a house robbery at which household items were also stolen. Ramotshela said the man was presumed to have been part of a gang of five armed men who broke into the house.
