Husband arrested for attempted murder of wife
ALEXANDRA - A 29-year-old man has been arrested for the attempted murder of his 51-year-old wife who caught him red-handed kissing another woman outside their 1st Avenue home in glare of their children and neighbours.

The woman then confronted her husband, asking him what he was doing kissing another woman outside their home.
The angry man grabbed a knobkerrie and slammed his wife’s left arm before smashing the back of her head.
The woman fell to the ground and collapsed. She was bleeding profusely from gaping wounds on the back of her head. She was rushed to the Alexandra Clinic where she was given several stitches to the head.
According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, the man was arrested and will appear soon in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court on a charge of attempted murder.
