Police hunt gunman
ALEXANDRA - A 52 year old man and a seven year old boy are recovering at home from gunshot wounds after being shot by a man last week.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Manare Ramotshela said they were shot as they alighted stairs at the 8th Avenue Flats. The perpetrator is still at large and Warrant Officer Ramotshela asked the public for assistance on the suspect’s whereabouts. He advised the public not to attempt to apprehend him as he is presumed to be armed.
The shooting occurred after the man had asked the perpetrator not to make a noise. Instead, the perpetrator pointed a finger at the victim and then slapped him before drawing a gun from his back and firing several shots which injured the two victims as they went up the stairs.
