ALEXANDRA - The case of the four men accused in the murder of Mozambican national, Emmanuel Sithole has been postponed to 13 May.
The case of the four men accused in the murder of Mozambican national Emmanuel Sithole has been postponed to 13 May after their legal representatives requested more time to study the dockets.
The Legal Aid Board representing Mthinto Bhengu and Ayanda Sibiya, and Matshidza Attorneys representing Sizwe Mngomezulu and Sifundo Mzimela, made the requested in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court.
A State source indicated they would oppose bail for the accused when the case resumes on 13 May. The case was heard before a packed courtroom, with the presence of observers from the Mozambican Consulate, the Sithole family and the family members of the accused.
Meanwhile, Sithole’s body, who was stabbed and stoned to death in a street in Alexandra was finally repatriated for burial in his home village in Mozambique on 30 April.
