Load shedding on the cards today
JOBURG – Frustrated Eskom customers can expect another series of load shedding as the utility revealed the possibility of power cuts was high for today (18 May).
Eskom said on its Twitter handle, Eskom Hld SOC Ltd ? @Eskom_SA said, “Good morning there is a high probability of load_shedding today, dependent on the performance of the power plant.” Last night (17 May) load shedding was terminated at 9:45 pm with the utility noting that some areas might have taken longer to restore.

Last week Eskom announced that the first unit of its new power station, Medupi reached a new output level of 735MW generated on 11 May.
